Outlaws Juniors hosted teams from Telford Raiders, North East Worcestershire Ravens and Sherwood Wolf Hunt on Sunday 18th June and they certainly didn’t allow the high temperatures to spoil their fun in the sun.
The players were brimming with excitement and enthusiasm after what, for some, was their first experience of playing league and are already looking forward to the reverse fixtures at NEW Ravens this coming Sunday (2nd July).
Junior Head Coach Jon Hemingway and Youth Head Coach Adam Cunliffe were both delighted with the day’s action, with Cunliffe commenting “it’s great to see the lads finally in action after several weeks of training.
“You could see them improve as the tournament progressed, and they did a fantastic job in the hot conditions.
“There are definitely some potential stars of the future there, so hopefully they’ve now been bitten by the Rugby League bug and will be keen for more.”
Junior training continues on a Thursday evening from 7pm to 8pm at Ellis Guilford School. Come down and give league a go!
