Nottingham Outlaws Womens team continue to impress is training as the squad begins to ready itself for the rapidly approaching new season.
Tuesday night was the third session that the squad have held ahead of the new campaign and already the numbers have increased dramatically despite it being a holiday week for many of the players.
Coaches Stew Readhead and Mark Stockman were also really pleased at how the players had performed with so many having never played the game before with Mark particularly pleased at the presence of so many new faces adding “ It was really good session with good numbers too. We’re starting to build strongly towards our first game. We’re also seeing new non rugby based players with new members coming from both netball and kayaking which is really promising for our growing squad”
Women’s Captain Violet Coppin was also more than happy with how the squad and training in general was progressing after only three sessions commenting “It was really pleasing to see so many faces tonight, including some newcomers and some of the old guard returning to the field. Great to see the skills coming together and really looking forward to putting them to use in some games!”
