Nottingham Outlaws Women entertained Sheffield Eagles at Lenton Lane on Saturday looking to avenge a 60-18 defeat back in May this year. Clearly the Outlaws have improved significantly since that early outing and this was clearly reflected in the scoreline as the Outlaws dominated from start to finish, posting an excellent 28-10 victory in the process.
The Outlaws started strongly with some excellent defence , including a huge tackle by Georgia Bradley on her opposite number for one of the biggest hits this year allied to some cutting edge attacking play.
Indeed the Outlaws women soon had the scoreboard ticking over thanks to trys by Nikki Harrison, Jess Panayioutou, Violet Coppin and a superb hat trick for Georgia Bradley.
Sharp shooter Ellie Turner bagged two conversions to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
After the game there were a number of players in with a shout for the player of the match award, however there were no complaints when Katie Moore took the bubbly for a fantastic afternoon’s work at the office, mixing some barnstorming runs with some no-nonsense defence.
Joint coach Mark Stockman was quick to praise his charges at the end of the game commenting “There is a real buzz around the team after the win today, they all really buy into the Outlaws and want to be part of our growing team of players”
