The rugby league action continues at Lenton Lane on Friday night, with the Outlaws’ inaugural Forceback tournament.
The kicking-based tournament will be taking place on the field with the first games kicking off at 8pm, whilst the Wheelchair World Cup Final between England and France will be shown in the bar.
Forceback Rules
– Games start with winner of rock, paper, scissors chooses either to kick off or select which end they are attacking
– Games will start with a kick from the 30m line
– Knock-ons will result in a turnover to the opposition at the point of the error
– Catches on the full will result in the catcher taking 10 strides towards the opposition goals
– Kicks that go out on the full will result in a turnover to the opposition at the point of the error
– Kicks that bounce out in to touch will require the subsequent kick to be taken 10m in from touch at the point where the ball bounced out
– Kicks that go dead in goal will result in a kick from the 20m line for the opposing team
– Drop goals over the crossbar score 3pts
– Any style of kick which goes through the posts at any height will score 1pt
– After each score, the conceding team will restart with a kick from the 30m line
– In the event of teams finishing level on points, the following hierarchy will be used to determine the winning team:
- The team with highest number of drop goals scored will finish higher
- If teams remain level, the team with the highest number of catches on the full will finish higher
- If teams remain level, the team with the fewest players will finish higher
- If teams remain level, placings will be determined by rock, paper, scissors
– The Grand Final will be determined by golden point sudden death if scores are level at the end of normal time
