Nottingham Outlaws’ February draw of Little John’s Lotto took place on Saturday 11th March during half-time of the pre-season friendly between Outlaws and the Royal Signals.
The random number generator (or ‘Robbie’ as he is affectionately known) was wheeled out in front of an expectant crowd, and whirred into life to reveal lucky number 31 (thirty one).
A quick check down the list revealed that the winner was none other than original Outlaws player and current Touch RL player Craig Carter, who landed a jackpot prize of £102.50 as a reward for his long term membership.
Chairman Rich Johnson was on hand to witness the momentous occasion, adding “we are delighted to see Craig win the big one this month. Craig has been a long-term member of the lottery, and has recently dusted his boots off and started playing Touch RL on Thursday nights. Hopefully his winnings can go towards some new Salford Red Devils merchandise for him to wear to Touch Rugby.”
The Outlaws are looking to continue their improvement on and off the field and the club already planning for the 2017 campaign. With this in mind funds are needed more than ever and supporters of the club are urged to sign up and in doing so, continue to grow the game of rugby league in Nottingham.
