Nottingham Outlaws Women recorded their first victory in National League One when they emphatically beat Halifax Panthers 54-16 in West Yorkshire on Sunday. After battling to a half time lead at 12-22 they put their foot on the gas with a fine second half performance that saw them pull away from the hosts to record a well-deserved victory. Outlaws 10: Keighley Albion 26
Nottingham Outlaws entertained second placed Keighley Albion at Lenton Lane on Saturday looking to halt a three-match losing run of home games. In an evenly matched contest, they played much better than they had in recent weeks but couldn’t avoid slipping to a 10-26 defeat against a well-drilled Keighley outfit. The men’s first team v Hull Wyke planned for 22nd July at Lenton Lane as be cancelled by Hull Wyke. The women’s team v Halifax Panthers is also cancelled as the opposition have pulled out.

Nottingham Outlaws crashed to another disappointing home defeat on Saturday when they lost out to play off rivals Cutsyke Raiders at Lenton Lane on Saturday. The defeat was all the more disappointing since they held a 12-0 advantage after twenty minutes only to fritter it away on the back of some poor handling and tackling as they slipped to a 26-16 defeat. Outlaws 22 : Sharlston Rovers 32
Nottingham Outlaws suffered a disappointing 32-22 home defeat to Sharlston at Lenton Lane on Saturday. Despite leading on three occasions in the match they were generally on the back foot for most of the second half thanks to some poor handling and missed tackles at crucial points in the game. Nottingham Outlaw’s winning run came to an end when they were on the wrong end of a 32-12 scoreline against top of the table Stanley Rangers at Lenton Lane on Saturday. In scorching hot conditions both sides felt the heat but it was a physically bigger and more powerful Stanley side that came out on top against an outgunned Outlaws team.
